Psychological assessments are important for understanding an individuals cognitive and behavioural abilites, personality, and emotional well-being. At COPE Family Health Clinic, our team of psychologists and psychotherapists use evidence-based techniques to understand and offer valuable insights into a person’s behaviour or clarify an existing diagnosis.

Psychological assessments can help inform future psychological services. However, psychological assessment can be a standalone service.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTs

Psychoeducational assessments help identify how a children or an adolescencent learns best, by evaluating their cognitive abilities, academic skills, and processing strengths and challenges. These assessments can diagnose learning disabilities, or giftedness, and provide valuable insight into a student's educational needs. The results guide tailored recommendations for academic supports and classroom accommodations.

Psycho-Educational Assessments

Cognitive and developmental assessments are designed to measure a child's overall developmental progress. These evaluations are helpful in identifying developmental delays or intellectual disabilities and provide a clearer picture of a child's thinking, reasoning, and adaptive skills in everyday life.

Cognitive & Developmental Assessments

Behavioral and emotional assessments focus on understanding a child or teen’s mental health, emotional regulation, and behavioral patterns. These evaluations can identify concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and challenges with peer relationships. Behavioral & Emotional Assessments

ADHD and attention assessments evaluate a child’s or adolescencent’s ability to focus, manage impulses, and regulate attention both at home and in school settings. These assessments typically include parent and teacher questionnaires, cognitive attention tests, and behavioral observations. Results help determine whether attention difficulties are impacting daily functioning and offer guidance for next steps in support or treatment.
